The International Scout Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) are hosting a very special version of the yearly JOTA-JOTI event, bringing fun and education to the homes of young people around the world this weekend (3-5 April). This special edition of JOTI is a safe space, connecting young people, from around the world at a time when many of us are at home, unable to attend school or regular activities. You can sign up for different activities throughout the weekend of 3rd April — from e-learning courses on health, well-being and online safety to learning about different cultures. You can play games and lead fun activities as well as doing what you can to support those in need.
Online safety: Please read and follow the guidelines on the JOTI website. Scouts aged 13 and above can sign up but a parent should review the information with them and be responsible for supervising children’s online activities. A parent or guardian can register on behalf of a child younger than 13 years old, and must participate with them for the duration of the event.
We have not participated in a Jamboree on the Internet before, so don’t know how suitable it will be for Beavers and Cubs, but you may like to have a look with your child. Please let us know if you take part, as it will count towards Beaver, Cub and Scout Challenges.
